Tanya joined Forget Smith as an associate lawyer in 2020, after completing her articles. Her practice is focused on insurance litigation, including subrogation matters, property claims, liability claims, product liability and fraud. She can advocate for her clients in both official languages.
Tanya completed the dual Juris Doctor (cum laude) and Master of Business Administration program at the University of Ottawa. She competed in the Guy Guérin Moot Competition and was awarded the best cross-examination litigant award. She and her colleague also qualified for the National Sopinka Cup. Tanya also participated in Case Competitions at the MBA games, a National Interuniversity Competition; the cohort won the prestigious Academic Cup. Prior to law school, she completed her Honours Bachelor in Health Sciences.
During law school, Tanya worked as a Special Advisor to an official languages project in the public sector. She is now a member of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario and its access to justice committee.
