Chelsea practices primarily in the area of civil litigation, with a focus on insurance law, including personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, (both tort and accident benefits), road liability claims, prison negligence claims, occupier’s liability claims, subrogated claims, and property damage. She has also advised clients on product liability, disability, employment law matters, and landlord and tenant issues. Chelsea has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in her practice, which has allowed her to bring a unique perspective to each file. She has used this perspective to provide cost-effective and efficient services to clients.
She received her LL.B. (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2007. Prior to entering law school, she attended Simon Fraser University in British Columbia where she received her undergraduate degree in Criminology. Upon relocating to Ottawa, she practiced with two boutique civil litigation firms before joining Forget Smith in 2015.
